How can Finify offer a free account? What's the catch?

Finify at its core was engineered to support massive scale at a very low cost. We use the latest technologies from a variety of cloud based companies (like AWS) to help lower our overall operational costs. You can read about what makes our engineering unique here.

That being said, "low cost" does not mean it is free for us to run Finify. We do have to pay for servers, databases, API connections and more. We support ourselves on the monthly "Standard" and "Premium" users, as well as our affiliate/partnership network and business integrations.

How do I contact support?

We pride ourselves on being open and honest with our users. We love to take feedback from our user base and incorporate it directly into our product.

Do I have to give you any of my bank information, logins, passwords, etc?

Absolutely not. You can control your entire account manually and do not have to provide any sensitive information about your finances. Just rough estimates of income, bills, and account balances is enough for you to use Finify to help your personal financial management.

That being said, we do offer account balance update syncing through Plaid. Plaid is a 3rd party service that allows software companies (like ours) to get data about a users finances. Syncing your account balances through Plaid and Finify, while not required, does significantly improve the automation our platform can perform. Instead of you telling Finify what your account balances are, we can automatically sync that data from over 11,000 financial insitutions available on Plaid today.

Does Finify resell my data?

Finify does not resell any of its user data and our privacy policy and terms of service are easily accessible from our website and within our app. These docuements describe in detail exactly what Finify does with your data, how you can request to remove your data and more.
